Laura Paight Named Director of Recruitment for Waste Connections

HOUSTON, TX, January 9, 2017 — Laura Paight is a Talent Acquisition Leader with over 20 years of experience developing and implementing successful recruitment strategies in the Energy and Pharmaceutical industries with an international perspective. Laura has deep expertise in many aspects of Talent Acquisition including recruitment strategies in new and developing markets, onboarding, diversity programs, university relations, military recruitment, compliance, workforce planning and contingent labor.

Most recently, she was Director of Hiring and Onboarding for the North America Region at Baker Hughes. Prior to this role, Laura was the Eastern Hemisphere Director of Talent Acquisition at Baker Hughes as an expatriate in Dubai, UAE and led the Talent Acquisition function for Middle East, Europe, Asia Pacific, Russia Caspian and Africa. She was earlier recruited to British Petroleum in a period of large growth in a highly competitive market where she developed BP’s first global workforce plan.
