Lancor Expands Coverage into the Middle East

BRUSSELS, BELGIUM, April 1, 2015 – Lancor, a leading global retained executive search firm, is pleased to establish a presence in Dubai. With the addition of Dubai, Lancor now has six offices including Brussels, Cleveland, Dubai, London and San Francisco.

UPDATE – As of January 2017, Lancor Partner, Abbed Anabtawi will lead the firm’s Dubai office. Anabtawi is focused on building Lancor’s private equity, family conglomerates, and telecommunications, media, and technology search business across the Middle East and North Africa region.

Anabtawi brings more than 17 years’ experience in executive search and management consulting, 14 of which were spent in the region, working across Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Prior to joining Lancor, Abbed was a Partner MEA at DHR International, where he led and delivered multiple searches for large family conglomerates, headed the Advanced Technology Practice and delivered multiple CFO placements across several sectors and industries.

Prior to that, Abbed was a Director in the Management Consulting business at KPMG running a search focused, sector agnostic solution. He successfully worked on behalf of his clients to attract and place executives in local large family conglomerates, government and semi government organisations, telecom and satellite operators, as well as start-ups. Prior to joining KPMG, he was the Head of Telecommunications Middle East and Africa for RP International, where he played a key role in establishing the company in the region.
