The Lancer Group places Scott Sampson as Senior Vice President of Sales at 8×8

SAN JOSE, CA, October 19, 2017 – The Lancer Group places Scott Sampson as Senior Vice President of Midmarket & Enterprise Sales of 8×8 (NASDAQ: EGHT; LTM Rev: $262M; MKT CAP: $1.1B), the leading provider of truly unified communications.

Scott brings to 8×8 over 25 years of experience in sales leadership and executive management positions for global software and technology corporations. In this new role, Scott is responsible for driving all efforts to expand global midmarket and enterprise sales with a focus on developing and leveraging channel relationships to drive this consultative sales business.

Most recently, Scott served as Chief Revenue Officer of NewVoiceMedia, a provider of cloud contact center solutions, where he had global responsibility for all the company’s sales, channel and marketing functions. Prior to NewVoiceMedia, Scott was the Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Customer Success, Analytics Platform, a $6.5B revenue business, at IBM. Over the course of his tenure at IBM, he led organizations ranging in size from 150 to 4,000 sales professionals, and was consistently ranked in the top one percent of global executive leadership.

He holds an MBA from MIT and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Northeastern University.
