BIRMINGHAM, AL, September 11, 2017 – The Lancer Group places Bjorn Bjerkoe as Chief Technology Officer of Daxko, the industry leader provider of member-based health and wellness software solutions. Daxko is backed by leading middle-market private equity firm, GI Partners.
Bjorn brings to Daxko over 15 years of experience leading operational and software development teams across the application software space. In this newly created role, he will have ownership over all software development teams and products across the company, including design, development, quality assurance and infrastructure. Bjorn will be instrumental in implementing Daxko’s growth strategy that will enable the company to continue its track record of building and scaling the best of breed technology solutions.
Most recently, Bjorn served as Vice President of Engineering of Athlinks, the software division of Life Time Fitness, where he led the integration and consolidation of the company’s several acquisitions and was responsible for deploying a consolidated next generation platform.
Prior to joining Athlinks, Bjorn held the role of Vice President of Engineering at DealerSocket, where he grew the company’s technology practice from a 15-person technology group to a 150+ technology group while firmly establishing the firm as the technology leader in the Automotive CRM software space. DealerSocket was acquired by Vista Equity in 2014.
He holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Economics from the University of Utah.
