Korn Ferry Futurestep Establishes Academic Healthcare Practice
LOS ANGELES, December 5, 2016 — The Futurestep division of Korn Ferry (NYSE:KFY), the preeminent global people and organizational advisory firm, today announced the launch of a dedicated Academic Healthcare Practice.
This new practice will be a direct extension of Korn Ferry’s Academic Healthcare Executive Search Practice, which brings unparalleled industry expertise, having placed candidates with more than 220 schools of medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, public health, allied health, nursing, cancer centers, research institutes, foundations, journals, societies, and university systems. The Futurestep practice will provide additional expertise in recruiting faculty, including funded educators, scientists, subspecialist physicians, and other critical faculty positions.
From its inception nearly 25 years ago, Korn Ferry’s Academic Healthcare Executive Search Practice has been led by former medical school deans, who draw upon relationships first formed during long careers in academic medicine and expanded as search consultants.
Sarah Taylor, a core member of Korn Ferry’s Academic Healthcare Practice for more than 5 years, has been named Managing Consultant within Futurestep’s Academic Healthcare Practice.
“We are thrilled to partner with our extremely knowledgeable and established colleagues to offer our clients in the academic healthcare industry the best solution for their talent needs across all levels of the organization,” said Greg Gerson, Market Leader, Korn Ferry Futurestep Healthcare Services. “We’re excited to have Sarah help drive the growth of this new practice for which we see tremendous potential.”
“This new service allows us to provide seamless solutions to virtually every position in academic health centers with expertise tailored to our client’s needs,” said Warren Ross, M.D., Korn Ferry Senior Client Partner and Global Sector Leader, Academic Medicine. “Together with our other talent management solutions, such as workforce planning, onboarding, executive coaching, performance management, and leadership assessment and development, we offer clients who believe their talent is their best asset, the opportunity to leverage that asset.”
