Kevin Wells Appointed as Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Wildlife Conservation Society

(Feb. 2021) Bridge Partners is pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Wells as Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Wildlife Conservation Society in New York City, NY.

The Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) is a non-governmental organization headquartered at the Bronx Zoo in New York City, whose mission is to save wildlife and wild places worldwide through science, conservation action, education, and inspiring people to value nature. WCS envisions a world where wildlife thrives in healthy lands and seas, valued by societies that embrace and benefit from the diversity and integrity of life on Earth. WCS manages four New York City wildlife parks in addition to the Bronx Zoo: The Central Park Zoo, New York Aquarium, Prospect Park Zoo and Queens Zoo.

Kevin Wells joins WCS from the New York City Department of Sanitation in New York City, NY, where he served as Chief Diversity Officer. Previously, he served as Director, Diversity & Economic Inclusion at New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development. Prior he served as General Counsel/Director of Compliance for NY & NJ Minority Supplier Diversity Council, Inc. Kevin holds a Bachelor degree from the University of Maryland and a Juris Doctorate from Widener University School of Law.

Kevin is a recognized diversity and inclusion strategist and corporate social responsibility attorney with experience in both the private and public sector. He successfully creates and implements industry-specific diversity and inclusion initiatives and addresses internal and external stakeholder concerns. As Head of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion as WCS, he will partner with the executive leadership team to formalize and elevate WCS’s approach to diversity, equity and inclusion within the U.S. and expand and adapt efforts globally.

Also, he will partner across the organization to ensure WCS is a welcoming and accessible environment for all employees, visitors to the parks and communication with who WCS partners.
