Justin Marquart joins SightLife as Vice President of Philanthropy & Business Development

SEATTLE, WA, November 20, 2017 – Headquartered in Seattle, SightLife is the only non-profit global health organization working relentlessly to eliminate corneal blindness in the U.S. and around the world by 2040. SightLife is helping eye banks worldwide build tissue capacity to meet local needs and providing surgeons in the U.S. with the highest quality transplant tissue. The organization leverages innovative technologies and best business practices to transform lives and unlock life’s possibilities for the corneal blind. SightLife works in partnership with surgeons and health organizations in more than 29 countries. In collaboration with its global eye bank partners, SightLife and its partners provided over 30,000 corneas for transplant in 2016.

As the new Vice President of Philanthropy & Business Development, Justin Marquart will lead SightLife’s international and domestic development effort and serve as an integral member of the leadership team. He will strengthen current donor activity and broaden the donor pipeline though increasing awareness of SightLife’s mission and vision.

With an extensive background in the for-profit tech and fundraising industries and over ten years working within non-profits, Justin has gained considerable experience growing and managing complex fundraising operations in the health and higher education sectors. Most recently, Justin served as the Deputy Director, Development for the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and previously was the Chief Development Officer at Washington State University’s Carson College of Business. Justin brings deep knowledge and a passion for building and strengthening development programs. With past experience in both international and major gift fundraising, as well as building and managing successful campaigns, Justin is poised to grow SightLife’s comprehensive fundraising program to best support its vision to eliminate corneal blindness worldwide.
