Prior to joining R4D, John spent more than 13 years at Save the Children US, the largest member of the Save International federation. Most recently, he served as the Associate Vice President for US programs, overseeing program quality and implementation for Save programs that operate across 14 US states. John’s prior roles at Save included Head of Strategy & Planning – directing agency-wide planning and strategy execution, and spearheading continuous improvement and change management initiatives across the organization – and Senior Director Global Sponsorship Operations, supporting the implementation of community-based education programs in 20 countries around the world. His earlier career included Boys and Girls Club and Citizen Schools. John earned his Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and a Master’s degree from Lesley University.
