John Farden Appointed as Chief of Human Capital & Operations, Results for Development

December 2019 – Bridge Partners is pleased to announce the appointment of John Farden as Chief of Human Capital and Operations at Results for Development (R4D).

R4D is an international nonprofit, founded in 2008, that collaborates with change agents around the world – government officials, civil society leaders and social innovators – to create strong systems that support healthy, educated people. The organization has grown rapidly during its first decade, with a diverse set of programs in global health, education, and nutrition and funders that include USAID, bilateral donors, multi-lateral development institutions, and foundations.

As Chief of Human Capital and Operations, John is a member of R4D’s Executive Leadership Team responsible for ensuring smooth, efficient and strategically aligned program execution across all R4D Programs – and for developing, deploying, aligning and supporting world-class talent.

Prior to joining R4D, John spent more than 13 years at Save the Children US, the largest member of the Save International federation. Most recently, he served as the Associate Vice President for US programs, overseeing program quality and implementation for Save programs that operate across 14 US states. John’s prior roles at Save included Head of Strategy & Planning – directing agency-wide planning and strategy execution, and spearheading continuous improvement and change management initiatives across the organization – and Senior Director Global Sponsorship Operations, supporting the implementation of community-based education programs in 20 countries around the world. His earlier career included Boys and Girls Club and Citizen Schools. John earned his Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and a Master’s degree from Lesley University.
