JDG completes search for the AOC’s Assistant Director, Architecture and Historic Preservation Branch

February 3, 2020 – JDG and the Architect of the Capitol (AOC) are pleased to announce the hiring of Doug Lipscomb as the new Assistant Director, Architecture and Historic Preservation Branch. As a registered architect in the Commonwealth of Virginia and certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, Doug has nearly 25 years of experience practicing as an architect serving as both a project manager and designer having managed construction budgets as large as $90M. Prior to joining AOC, he served as Associate Vice President of Planning, Design and Construction for George Mason University. He earned his Master of Architecture from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Architecture with Honors from the University of Texas at Austin.
