JDG completes Deputy Director search for the Legal Services Corporation

ROCKVILLE, MD, July 2, 2018 – JDG and LSC are pleased to announce the selection of Stuart Axenfeld as LSC’s Deputy Director for Fiscal Compliance.  He is an accomplished CPA with over 30 years of experience providing leadership and direction in the areas of audit, grants management and fiscal compliance in the federal government.

In his prior role at the Corporation for National & Community Service Office of the Inspector General, he oversaw a portfolio of approximately 3,000 nonprofit grantees with grant awards totaling $750M per year.

He has expert knowledge of GAAP, FAR, GAGAS, and CAS, as well as the establishment of accounting policies, procedures and internal controls to improve organizational efficiency and financial oversight.  Stuart received a Bachelors from the University of Maryland.
