Holden Richardson Recruits Thomas Dono Jr. as Chief Legal Officer of Stoneridge

NOVI, MI, January 8, 2018 – We are pleased to announce Thomas M. “Tom” Dono Jr. has joined Stoneridge, Inc. as Chief Legal Officer based in Novi, Michigan.  Stoneridge [NYSE: SRI] designs and manufactures highly engineered electrical and electronic components and systems for the global automotive and commercial vehicle sectors.  Tom is a native of Long Island, New York and attended Stony Brook University where he earned a double BA in Economics and Business Management.  He would go on to earn his JD at UCLA in 1998.

After graduating, Tom worked in Silicon Valley for law firm Wilson Sonsini & Goodrich supporting technology companies during the “Tech Boom” days.  He and his wife relocated to Detroit in 2003 to be closer to family and he joined Cleveland-based McDonald Hopkins as an Associate in Detroit.  As such, he was assigned as Associate General Counsel and Assistant Secretary for Metaldyne Corporation.  He would join Metaldyne as an employee in 2005.  In 2006, Tom joined the Thermal Division of Delphi as Division Counsel, a role he would keep until the division was sold in 2009.  After the sale, Tom joined Key System Systems as Senior Vice President, Legal Affairs and Corporate Secretary.

In 2016, Tom was recruited by the new management team at Metaldyne Performance Group [MPG] to rejoin the company as Executive Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary.  Tom was not in this role long when he learned that MPG was to be acquired by American Axle Manufacturing.  Tom remained with the company for a year helping to complete the sale process and integrate MPG into AAM.
