Greg Lasonde joins Mayco Industries as Chief Executive Officer

CHICAGO, IL, August 22, 2017 — Mayco Industries announced today that Greg Lasonde, formerly a Senior Executive with MacLean Fogg, joined the company as Chief Executive Officer.  Mayco Industries is a business unit of Chicago-based Imperial Group, and is the largest, most diversified manufacturer of lead-based products in the United States. It is a leading source for lead production needs, with processes including melting, rolling, machining, extruding, and coating.

Mayco offers engineering support and design consultation on everything from small Radiation Shielding projects to large Ballast Projects. The company operates two manufacturing plants and six distribution centers in all regions of the United States.

Prior to joining Mayco, Lasonde was with MAT Holdings as CEO of Triax, a producer of specialty metal components for the “hot end” of turbines.  For MAT, Mr. Lasonde had also served previously as a turn-around specialist and board member for some of the company’s holdings.

Lasonde started his career with MacLean Fogg and over a 22-year career progressed from product management to plant management to division leadership, culminating in three years in China leading and preparing for sale a hot steel forging operation.

Mr. Lasonde earned his BS and MS in Engineering from Dartmouth, and remains on the Board of Directors of two companies Reyco [MAT Holdings] and MacLean Maynard [MacLean Fogg].
