Global Foodbanking Network Appoints Director of HR from Search by Hanold Associates

The Global FoodBanking Network (GFN), an international non-profit organization nourishing communities around the world, has appointed Brooke Fitaye as Director of Human Resources. Hanold Associates’ Partners Sonia Nagra and Sandra Peña led the search for this Chicago-based organization.

In less than four years, GFN has grown from a $2 million to a $20+ million organization and doubled its employee base. Founded in 2006, GFN connects food banking organizations in more than 40 countries that together serve more than 16.9 million people annually. The organization currently operates with a team of 23 employees based primarily out of Chicago and engages a globally diverse Board of Directors. With one in nine people around the world going hungry in today’s world, GFN’s mission is more important than ever.

Brook Fitaye comes to GFN from IREX, Non-profit organization management, where she served as HR Manager. Reporting directly to GFN’s Chief Financial Officer and working closely with the organization’s President and CEO, Fitaye will lead all matters related to talent. As GFN continues its aggressive growth trajectory, Fitaye will be responsible for building an HR function capable of supporting this growth through scalable processes and practices.
