(August 15, 2022) JDG Associates, executive search consultants, has been retained by the Government Accountability Office (GAO) to identify its first Chief Data Officer (CDO).  Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the CDO will lead the development and implementation of GAO’s data management and data governance strategies, programs, and policies.  The CDO will advise senior executives on how data management can be used to drive digital innovation, reduce costs, and increase value to the agency.  The CDO will also conduct a data maturity assessment to determine gaps in GAO’s data governance and management processes.
