DistroKid provides musicians, managers, and record labels with online tools and services that are innovative, easy-to-use, and affordable. It serves as one of the easiest ways for artists to get music into Spotify, Apple Music, TikTok, Instagram & more.
Akkerman brings to DistroKid twenty years of professional finance experience, specialized in corporate financial planning & analysis, valuation and financial advisory services, and investment banking. Most recently, she was Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis at Dude Solutions, where she led the new FP&A team and increased headcount three-fold in two years to support the high-growth organization. Prior to that, Akkerman served as Vice President, Planning and Analysis at Citi where she was responsible for the consolidation and reporting of monthly actuals, quarterly forecasts, and annual plan on a $45B Retail Private Label portfolio comprised of multiple retail partners. Previously, she served as Vice President at AlixPartners and was an analyst at Banc of America Securities.
Akkerman holds her bachelor’s degree in economics from Duke University.
