Diversified Search Recruits Chief Financial Officer for Dignity Health

PHILADELPHIA, January 13, 2016 — Diversified Search (Diversified), one of the nation’s top ten executive search firms, has announced the recruitment of Daniel Morissette as senior executive vice president/chief financial officer for Dignity Health, the fifth largest health system in the nation and the largest hospital provider in California. This search was led by Diversified Search Managing Director Cynthia Heckscher, whose search practice focuses on senior executive and clinician searches for health care systems, academic medical centers, managed care organizations and specialty hospitals nationwide.

In his previous position as chief financial officer at Stanford Health Care in Palo Alto, Morissette was responsible for leading growth initiatives and developing care management ventures and partnerships, while guiding Stanford Health Care’s financial operations. Additionally, he established an international presence for Stanford Health Care with business activity and sites in China, Hong Kong, and United Arab Emirates.

Dignity president/chief executive officer Lloyd H. Dean said, “Dan Morissette is a highly accomplished executive with deep expertise in financial management, operational leadership, growth, and investment strategies. His proven track record in fiscal leadership and detailed knowledge of the health care marketplace will be a true asset to the organization.” Morissette will have oversight of financial affairs and other corporate operations activities, accounting, financial reporting, revenue cycle, treasury, financial planning, project financing, and capital planning.

Earlier, Morissette held senior level finance positions with University of Toledo, Medical University of Ohio in Toledo, The Chicago Medical School, and PricewaterhouseCoopers. He holds a Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in finance and policy studies from University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business, and a Bachelor of Science in commerce from DePaul University.
