David DeGraaf Joins Gill Industries as President and Chief Operating Officer

GRAND RAPIDS, MI, April 2018 – We are pleased to announce David DeGraaf has joined Gill Industries as President and Chief Operating Officer.

Dave joined Gill after serving as President and General Manager of Faurecia’s $2.6 billion OE and aftermarket exhaust business.  Dave joined Faurecia as the company was still integrating the exhaust business it acquired from ArvinMeritor.  Prior to Faurecia, Dave had been with Johnson Controls for over 15 years where he rose through the ranks from a GM Program Manager to Vice President & General Manager with the Power Products Division.

During his career with JCI, Dave rotated through JCI’s Interiors Group which included an expat assignment that started as Vice President and General Manager of the GM and Opel business unit in Europe, South Africa, and South America; and culminated as Vice President and General Manager of the Ford/PAG, Toyota, and Honda product groups in Europe, South America, South Africa, and Russia.

Prior to joining JCI, Dave had earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Spring, Colorado.  After graduating, Dave fulfilled his military commitment in several base rotations, including three assignments in Atlanta.  While in Atlanta, he participated in the Goodwill Games, the Pan Am Games, and the 1996 Olympics as a competitive Team Handball Player.  Dave remained in the U.S. Air Force Reserves, retiring in 2014 with the rank of Major.

Dave brings to Gill substantial leadership, program management, product development, quoting and pricing, launch, and customer delivery experience.  He also brings a substantial global base of customer relationships.
