Dave Holtzman Honored as One of Charlotte Business Journal’s 40 Under 40

CHARLOTTE, N.C., MARCH 29, 2019 – Dave Holtzman, President of Search Solution Group, has been honored as one of Charlotte Business Journal’s 40 Under 40. The list highlights Charlotte’s brightest individuals under the age of 40 who have already made a remarkable impact on their businesses and the community. As President of the region’s top recruitment firm, Holtzman is an accomplished business leader who is connected to the pulse of Charlotte’s corporate landscape. On top of this, he is also a passionate, active citizen who is dedicated to local causes he holds dear.

Holtzman was promoted to President of Search Solution Group at the beginning of 2018. He has been a key driver of the success of the recruitment firm since his start over 5 years ago. When he took over as President, he immediately championed an initiative to improve company culture and within the first six months, the company saw a dramatic increase in retention, greatly improved morale, and record-breaking profitability. Since Holtzman joined the company, the employee population at Search Solution Group has exploded from 6 employees to almost 70, and the company plans to add another 25-30 more employees in 2019 alone. His focus on internal culture earned Search Solution Group the number one spot on Charlotte Business Journal’s list of Best Places to Work in 2018 for large companies. One of Holtzman’s greatest attributes is consistency–he is always the first person in the office and is one of the last to leave. In addition to his contributions to company culture, Dave Holtzman continuously leads by example, maintaining one of the largest books of business in the company. Holtzman is celebrated for his ability to build strong relationships with other companies and work collaboratively with clients to tailor customized solutions that fit their specific business needs. With 20 years of experience in human resources and talent management, Holtzman is highly regarded as a subject matter expert in talent acquisition. He is often featured in panel discussions, interviewed by local media, and asked to consult with businesses on their talent acquisition needs.

Holtzman is also heavily involved in the Charlotte community, particularly Plaza Midwood. He is an active member of a local Rotary chapter, where he has served multiple years as a board member and chairman for social events. From 2012-2016, Holtzman was a Plaza Midwood Neighborhood Association (PMNA) board member and each year chaired their largest annual fundraising/social event, Midwood Maynia. He is also an active participant in the Farewell to Summer Party that raises over $75K annually for Time Out Youth and RAIN. Holtzman motivates Search Solution Group to be active in the community; the company has raised funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Habitat for Humanity, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and held several events for charitable causes, including a fundraiser for Veterans Bridge Home where Holtzman used his prominence within the recruitment industry to find jobs for veterans in the Charlotte market.

On May 16, Charlotte Business Journal is hosting the 40 Under 40 Awards at the McGlohon Theater. The celebration honors the winners and their achievements as Charlotte’s most esteemed professionals under 40.
