Danielle Shoots Appointed as VP & Chief Financial Officer at The Colorado Trust

August 2019 – Bridge Partners is delighted to announce the appointment of Danielle Shoots as VP & Chief Financial Officer for The Colorado Trust.

The Colorado Trust (The Trust) is a foundation dedicated to achieving health equity – ending inequalities that affect racial, ethnic, low-income and other vulnerable populations, so that everyone can achieve good health. The Trust works closely with communities and nonprofit organizations throughout the state to improve the health and well-being of all Coloradans.

Danielle joined The Trust in August 2019. In her capacity as VP & CFO she has responsibility for overall financial management including investments, budgets, audit and tax matters, risk management, IT, and human resources.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have Danielle joining our team to help advance the health and well-being of the people of Colorado. Her experience in financial management and leadership, as well as her passion for making her home state a better place to live for everyone, will be outstanding assets to our organization,” said Ned Calonge, MD, MPH, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Trust.

Danielle joins The Trust from Comcast where she served as Vice President of Finance and Business Operations for the West Division, managing a billion-dollar capital portfolio and a team of 60 employees located in seven states. Prior to Comcast, she served as the Chief Fiscal Officer for the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.

She has been recognized in the Denver Business Journal’s “40 under 40” awards; was a 2019 honoree in the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce 25 Most Powerful Women in Business; and is a past TedX speaker. Danielle is passionately involved in giving back to the community. She has been a longtime mentor with The Challenge Foundation. She is also the board president for Mile High Ministries, and an executive board member for the Women’s Foundation of Colorado.

Danielle holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Colorado.
