Coulter Partners secures Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Product Development for Pivot Bio

SILICON VALLEY, CA – Coulter Partners was privileged to partner recently with Pivot Bio, an agriculture technology company based in Silicon Valley, to secure the appointments of Richard Broglie, Ph.D., as Chief Technology Officer and Ernie Sanders as Vice President of Product Development. These appointments further strengthen Pivot Bio’s leadership team to help drive the development of their unique science to the next level.

Dr. Broglie leads Pivot Bio’s expert scientific team and manages research and technology development efforts. He served most recently as Research Director for microbiome discovery for DowDuPont’s Agriculture Division. In his more than 30-year career at DuPont, Dr. Broglie led various discovery programs that resulted in soybean and canola crops with healthier and more stable seed oil compositions, and traits for disease and pest resistance in soybean, corn, wheat, rice, and sugarcane. He also served as Vice President of Research and member of the Board of Directors of InterMountain Canola, a joint venture between DuPont and DNA Plant Technology. He has authored more than 30 scientific publications and is an inventor on several important patents.

Ernie Sanders is responsible for the design, development and launch of new products and most recently served as the Global Launch and Product Expansions for Seed Applied Solutions Leader at the Monsanto Company. In 2017, Sanders won the highest scientific award given at Monsanto. He received the Edgar M. Queeny award for his work to launch Intacta RR2 PRO™ soybean technology in South America. Joining Monsanto after graduating with his Master of Science degree in chemistry from the University of Memphis, Sanders has served in a number of roles in research and development, strategy and product management over his 35+ year career at the company.
