CALGARY, September 14, 2017 – Jobplex, Inc. is pleased to announce that Chris Marks has joined the firm as Partner. Marks will join the firm’s Calgary office leading search assignments for senior professionals, managers and directors across a variety of key industries including oil & gas, energy services, manufacturing, technology and higher education.
Marks brings 20 years’ experience in recruitment and talent acquisition to Jobplex, with a special focus on international recruitment spanning the US, UK, Norway, Middle East, China and India. Marks’ work across contingent, retained, and internal capacities has allowed him to build a strong network locally, nationally, and internationally.
Marks has significant corporate experience leading talent acquisition teams over the past 10 years, and served as the Director of Global Talent Acquisition at Ensign Energy Services, Team Lead of Talent Acquisition at Enerplus Corp. and the Supervisor of Global Mobility at Nexen Inc., and was most recently at the University of Calgary as the Senior Specialist at the Haskayne School of Business.
Marks began his career in search with Robert Half and Design Group, where he was responsible for launching new search divisions and was influential in building out the infrastructure and support teams focusing on contingent search. Marks later went on to start his own firm, On the Mark Recruiting.

Marks is a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR), and an advocate of gender equality as a fundamental human right. Marks earned a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Calgary and is currently finishing an Executive MBA from the University of Calgary’s Haskayne School of Business, graduating in December 2017.
