CHICAGO (Feb. 11, 2021) ― Archer Aviation, an electric airline developer advancing the benefits of sustainable air mobility, has retained Hanold Associates for its Head of Human Resources and Director of Recruiting searches. Mayank Parikh, Sandra Peña, Ashley Schiele and Jason Hanoldare leading the search for these Palo Alto-based roles.
This week, less than a year after coming out of stealth, Archer announced its intent to go public, as well as a $1 billion order from United Airlines for its all-electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft (eVTOL). As Archer enters this phase of rapid scaling, it recognizes that shaping the culture and attracting the right talent will be critical to the ongoing growth and success of the company.
The Head of HR is a newly created position, and this executive will lead the people function while building scalable practices and process that enable the organization to realize its growth potential. This leader will report to and partner with the founders to create a capability that enables the company’s growth agenda and shapes a people-centric, hard-working culture.
The Director of Recruiting will be responsible for all recruiting efforts within the company, aiming to attract new talent that adds to the capability and culture of the company. Reporting to the Head of HR, this person will construct and shape the recruiting process from the ground up, seizing every opportunity to create a best-in-class candidate experience that is efficient and effective.
Archer is creating the world’s first electric airline that moves people throughout the world’s cities in a quick, safe, sustainable and cost-effective manner. As the world’s only vertically integrated airline company, Archer is designing, manufacturing and operating eVTOL aircraft that can carry passengers for 60 miles at speeds of up to 150 mph while producing minimal noise. Currently operating with 60 employees and looking to scale to 300 in the near future, Archer’s longer-term growth plans include scaling to 5,000 employees. To support this aggressive growth target, Archer will not only need an incredibly talented group of individuals, but also new, scalable processes and practices that will provide structure to this startup.
