ADK Completes Search for Chief Financial Officer for The City of North Miami Beach

NORTH MIAMI BEACH, FL – ADK Consulting and Executive Search, a retained consulting and search firm based in Jacksonville, Florida, assisted in the successful placement of Tarik Rahmani as Chief Financial Officer for The City of North Miami Beach. In this position, he will play a crucial role in managing the City’s financial operations, including accounting, cash management, treasury functions, procurement, pension administration, payroll, and compliance. Mr. Rahmani began his new role on December 2, 2024.

With a career spanning over two decades in local government, Mr. Rahmani has become a key figure in municipal management and financial stewardship. Most recently, he served as Deputy City Manager for the City of Carson, overseeing the Finance, Public Information, Information Technology and Security, and Innovation and Sustainability departments. His leadership also extends to his tenure as President of Finance with the League of California Cities, where he continued to contribute to the advancement of financial management practices across the state.

Mr. Rahmani’s career began in public education, where his role as an Accountability, Assessment and Research Officer helped shape his focus on data-driven decision-making. Transitioning into local government, he further honed his expertise in long-range financial planning and performance-based budgeting, working for the City of Seattle as Senior Economist. His work in budget management and strategic financial forecasting earned him opportunities to collaborate on regional initiatives, such as eCityGov Alliance and the Community Connectivity Consortium.

Mr. Rahmani received a bachelor’s degree in enterprise financial management from the University of Carthage. He went on to receive his master’s degree in agriculture economics & economics from New Mexico State University. He was named to the 2022 Top Influencers in Local Government by Engaging Local Government Leaders (ELGL).
