Academic Career & Executive Search (ACES) Selected by University of Texas Permian Basin for Founding Assistant Vice President for Business Affairs and Controller Search

(September 2023, WEST HARTFORD, CT) Academic Career & Executive Search (ACES), a leading higher education focused executive search firm, has been selected to recruit the founding assistant vice president for business affairs and controller (AVPBAC) at the University of Texas Permian Basin. Jennifer Muller, managing partner, will be leading the search.

In this elevated role, the AVPBAC will fulfill a visible and critical role directly assisting the Senior Vice President for Business Affairs in managing all functions. Critical for success are strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret financial results along with a deep understanding of financial analysis and forecasting. The ideal candidate is also highly collaborative with a focus and previous success with process improvement. This position will assist in planning, administering, and coordinating financial activities and operational procedures of the organizational units within the Division of Business Affairs and university. The ideal candidate will be able to employ strong analytical skills to interpret financial results as UTPB moves into long-range planning and forecasting.
