This is an exceptional opportunity to join America’s largest HBCU as the Interim Associate Dean for Undergraduate Student Affairs, College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. This well supported leadership position is ideal for a leader who enjoys a multi-faceted role that involves both collaborative and independent work across many areas. The Interim Associate Dean will have leadership experience and demonstrated ability to handle confidential information in the strictest manner, and deal with a diverse population of students at the undergraduate, master’s and doctoral levels, faculty and staff. The successful candidate must demonstrate energy, teamwork, cooperation, inclusive decision making, and genuine interest; and a commitment to improve academic achievement of students in the College; many of which are first-generation, Pell-eligible students. The Interim Associate Dean will report to the Dean of the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences. This is a minimum 14 month assignment with an opportunity to apply for the permanent role. Candidates will be presented as they apply. Desired start date October 2024.
