Ms. Blanca Cook holds a Master of Accounting degree from The University of Houston, Clear Lake. With over 20 years of experience in accounting and financial leadership, largely within public education and higher ed, she brings a strong background in fund accounting, compliance, staff supervision, and ERP systems like Banner. In prior roles at Montgomery ISD and San Jacinto College, Ms. Cook led month-end close processes, account reconciliations, federal drawdowns, and audit prep while managing cross-functional teams. In this role, she will play a key role in ensuring the integrity of the university’s financial operations, supervise the general accounting staff, and oversee reconciliation processes.
