Academic Career & Executive Search (ACES) Places Founding Vice President of Development at Saginaw Valley State University

(July 2024, WEST HARTFORD, CT) Following a national search, Academic Career & Executive Search (ACES), a leading higher education focused executive search firm, is pleased to announce the successful placement of Brian Brunner securing the role as the Founding Vice President of Development at Saginaw Valley State University (SVSU).

Brian Brunner has over a decade of fundraising and leadership experience throughout higher education. Brunner comes to SVSU from Lindenwood University in Missouri, where he has served as the Assistant Vice President for Advancement. In this role, he led the institution in raising more than $5 million each of the past four years, surpassing its annual fundraising goal on each occasion. He also served as the Senior Director of Development and Associate Athletic Director at Central Michigan University where he directly raised more than $7 million. Brunner holds a Master of Science in Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Journalism, both from Central Michigan University.

Saginaw Valley State University (SVSU) is the newest of Michigan’s 15 public colleges and universities.
