Academic Career & Executive Search (ACES) Places Dean of Libraries at The University of Detroit Mercy

(July 2024, WEST HARTFORD, CT) Following a national search, Academic Career & Executive Search (ACES), a leading higher education focused executive search firm, is pleased to announce the successful placement of Kate Harger securing the role as Dean of Libraries at the University of Detroit Mercy.

Kate Harger has more than 20 years of experience leading academic libraries in the metropolitan Detroit and Chicago areas. She joins the University of Detroit Mercy from Henry Ford College, where she was Director of Library & Academic Support Services. In addition to a Master of Library and Information Science degree from Wayne State University, Harger earned a Doctor of Business Administration degree from Baker College, a Post-Baccalaureate Paralegal Certificate from Lansing Community College, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Hope College.
