Dr. McPhee Smith was Dean and Associate Professor of Nursing and Health Professions at New England College and is experienced in interdisciplinary accreditation and state regulatory processes, with a deep commitment to community engagement, student access, and strategic collaboration. She has a proven track record in building academic-practice partnerships, leading interdisciplinary programs, securing regulatory and accreditation approvals, and innovating workforce development models. Dr. McPhee Smith is recognized for launching high-impact cooperative education initiatives and fostering clinical pipelines that reduce vacancies, retain graduates, and strengthen rural healthcare systems. In this role, she will ensure North Idaho College’s health programs remain at the forefront of innovation and accreditation standards, while expanding educational access, including distance learning and off-site clinical experiences.
