Academic Career & Executive Search (ACES) Places Associate Professor of Speech-Language Pathology (Neuroscience) at Xavier University

(January 2024, WEST HARTFORD, CT) Following a national search, Academic Career & Executive Search (ACES), a leading higher education focused executive search firm, is pleased to announce the successful placement of Spyridoula Cheimariou securing the role as Associate Professor of Speech-Language Pathology (Neuroscience) at Xavier University.

Dr. Cheimariou is an accomplished researcher and educator with over seven years of experience teaching both undergraduate and graduate level courses in neuroscience and neurogenic language disorders. She joins Xavier University from The University of Alabama, where she has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communicative Disorders since 2016. Her research focuses on the neural basis of language processing, with an emphasis in hierarchical prediction frameworks, by looking into aging and neurogenic language disorders. Dr. Cheimariou holds her PhD in Speech and Hearing Science from the University of Iowa and an MSc in Cognitive Science from the University of Athens, Greece.
