Academic Career & Executive Search (ACES) Places Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the University of Oklahoma

(December 2023, WEST HARTFORD, CT) Following a national search, Academic Career & Executive Search (ACES), a leading higher education focused executive search firm, is pleased to announce the successful placement of Helina Hoyt securing the role as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs for the Fran and Earl Ziegler College of Nursing at The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center.

Dr. Hoyt has over 16 years of experience as a leader, teacher, and scholar in nursing and higher education. Most recently, Hoyt has served as the Associate Director of Nursing at San Diego State University Imperial Valley. In this role, she led the creation of a pre-licensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program and Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Healthcare Management program. Hoyt has an established record of scholarship within both nursing workforce development and clinical research. Hoyt holds a Ph.D. in Education from Claremont Graduate University and an M.S. in Community Health Nursing from San Diego State University.

The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center is the State of Oklahoma’s major health professions educational institution, training physicians, dentists, nurses, pharmacists, public health specialists, and a wide range of allied health personnel. With a budget of over $900 million, OUHSC employs more than 1,200 full-time faculty and nearly 4,000 staff. More than 3,500 students are enrolled in more than seventy health professions, undergraduate and graduate degree programs in the Center’s colleges. OU is home to the largest nursing program in Oklahoma with sites in Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Lawton, Duncan, and Norman. The Fran and Earl Ziegler College of Nursing at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center has also been awarded more than $2.7 million in two federal grants from Health Resources and Services Administration of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
