Dr. Hoyt has over 16 years of experience as a leader, teacher, and scholar in nursing and higher education. Most recently, Hoyt has served as the Associate Director of Nursing at San Diego State University Imperial Valley. In this role, she led the creation of a pre-licensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program and Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Healthcare Management program. Hoyt has an established record of scholarship within both nursing workforce development and clinical research. Hoyt holds a Ph.D. in Education from Claremont Graduate University and an M.S. in Community Health Nursing from San Diego State University.
The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center is the State of Oklahoma’s major health professions educational institution, training physicians, dentists, nurses, pharmacists, public health specialists, and a wide range of allied health personnel.
