Third Street Partners Names Principal

January 20, 2016 – Boutique executive search firm Third Street Partners has added Amanda Grant as a principal. She comes to Third Street Partners with considerable leadership experience, having served as the managing director and head of institutional client service at Columbia Management, a global asset manager where she helped facilitate the firm’s sale from Bank of America to Ameriprise Financial. During her tenure she also managed the acquisition of $2.3 billion in client contributions and the acquisition of new accounts from existing clients which amounted to 78 percent of total institutional inflows in 2010.

Prior to Columbia Management, Ms. Grant served as head of global relationship management at Babson Capital Management where she conceived, developed and implemented a global service model.

“We pride ourselves on the depth and breadth of service we provide to the firms we work with,” said Laura Pollock, founding partner. “Amanda embodies the passion we bring to bear for our client partners, our candidates and our colleagues, every day.”

“More than any other factor, the quality of the people at a company determines its success,” said David Schumer, principal. “The best asset managers and investment management companies we represent are a reflection of the exceptional people that fuel their growth. Amanda understands this concept, and people, intuitively and will make a strong impact on our clients’ businesses immediately.”

“Bringing the right people onboard would seem on the surface to be a simple matter, yet in fact is one of the greatest challenges many businesses face,” said Ms. Pollock. “Clients that work with us come to view the ‘people’ aspect of their businesses as a main competitive advantage — it is talent that ultimately decides not only which manager will outperform but which will be relevant over time. We are proud to play a part in this process.”

Third Street Partners is a boutique executive search and human capital advisory firm headquartered in New York City with global capability. The firm represents asset and investment management firms, banks, endowments and foundations, RIAs, broker-dealers, plan sponsors and family offices.
