Boston Seen As Growing East Coast Recruiting Hub

September 21, 2015 – The Execu | Search Group has opened a new office in Boston that will initially service the accounting/finance, health services, human resources, information technology, life sciences and office support sectors in the city and throughout the local region. The firm says it has additional plans to deliver recruiting solutions in the financial services space soon.

“The Execu | Search Group has experienced an exciting period of growth over the last few years,” said Edward Fleischman, chairman and CEO. “As we expanded throughout the Northeast with new offices in Massachusetts and Connecticut, we began seeing a great demand for talent in the Boston area. Our new office in the heart of Boston will allow us to better serve our clients’ growing needs.”

The opening of the firm’s first Boston office is a continuation Execu | Search Group’s expansion into key markets along the broader East Coast region. Later this month, the firm will open its first two offices in Florida. Execu | Search is headquartered in New York City and has nine additional offices in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts and Florida.

Execu | Search was founded in 1985 focused on serving accounting firms, boutique hedge funds, and private equity funds. Today, the firm serves accounting/finance, creative & digital, engineering, financial services, health services, human resources, information technology, legal services, life sciences, non-profit, and the office support sectors.

Boston has been an attractive hub for search firms for years. Aside from housing burgeoning financial services  organizations, the city and its suburbs are replete with businesses focused on technology, venture capital, manufacturing, clean technology, consumer, business services, higher education, non-profit, and high growth — and all looking for cutting edge talent who can keep them competitive in their respected fields.

All of the major search firms have outposts here, but here are some others you might not have been aware of: Isaacson, Miller; BSG Team Ventures; Capital Search Group; Coulter Partners; Onstott Group; Gatti & Associates; Robert Half Executive Search; WinterWyman; David Barrett Partners; Ridgeway Partners; Sheffield Haworth; Allegis Partners; ChampionScott Partners; Boyden; Battalia Winston; DHR International; Gilbert Tweed Associates; Howard Fischer Associates; JM Search; Major, Lindsey & Africa; Daley and Associates; Odgers Berndtson; ON Search Partners; Ross & Co; Slone Partners; and ZRG Partners, among others.

“Boston has a deep tradition of innovation, making it an ideal platform location for companies in just about any sector imaginable,” said Scott A. Scanlon, Hunt Scanlon Media founding CEO. “This city has one of the most highly skilled, highly trained, and highly educated workforces in the world and it is therefore continuing to attract financial services, high tech, healthcare, and consulting talent at a record clip.”
