Vardis Supports the Watermill Group and Quality Metalcraft

NEW YORK, November 26, 2016 —Vardis is proud to support The Watermill Group and Quality Metalcraft (QMC) in the appointment of Dwight Closson as Senior Vice President of Operations.

Dwight comes to QMC most recently from Midway Products where he had been employed since 2005 and was responsible for seven Tier 1 manufacturing plants producing body, chassis and powertrain products for the automotive industry.

Dwight’s experience in running multiple plants, Lean Manufacturing and 5S will be a great addition to the QMC/EMI team as they strive for operational excellence. Reporting to Dwight will be Plant Operations, Materials, Maintenance, Manufacturing Engineering and Lean Continuous Improvement.

Founded in 1964, Quality Metalcraft (QMC)  a premium, niche provider of highly engineered, metal formed assemblies serving a wide range of transportation industries, including automotive, aerospace and defense, heavy trucking and construction equipment. The company specializes in advanced prototyping, in-house tooling, low-to-medium volume production, and factory assist services.
