Tom Florence serves as Senior Vice President of Recruiting for Merritt, Hawkins, the leading physician search and consulting firm in the United States and a company of AMN Healthcare (NYSE: AMN), the nation’s largest healthcare staffing organization. Mr. Florence is a seasoned physician staffing executive with over 15 years of experience in the field. Mr. Florence has personally conducted or supervised hundreds of physician and advanced allied health professional search assignments nationwide.

Mr. Florence’s areas of expertise include all strategic and operational issues pertaining to the recruitment of both physicians and allied healthcare professionals, including search strategies, physician and allied needs assessment, incentives, contracts, candidate sourcing, interviewing and retention. In addition, Mr. Florence is responsible for the management of the nation’s largest resource of physician recruiting consultants. Mr. Florence attended Indiana University and resides in Dallas, Texas.
