Joel Richard is a senior talent acquisition and executive search leader with more than 20 years of experience building and scaling high-performing recruiting organizations in complex, fast-growing environments. He brings deep leadership experience, as well as human capital, and executive search expertise across management consulting and advisory firms, including Oliver Wyman and Chartis. During his tenure at Chartis, Joel refined and scaled the firm’s search capabilities through a period of rapid growth, overseeing more than 1,000 hires. This growth increased leadership depth, delivery capacity, and commercial capabilities that underpinned the firm’s significant increase in enterprise value and ultimately culminated in a successful exit with Blackstone.

At Capital One, Joel led front office executive search for the Commercial Bank and played a key role in the Talent Acquisition Team’s transformation. He also led the growth of a new Commercial Card business nationally and contributed to the growth of Capital One Labs, a Tech and Data Science incubator.
