Experience
James has been licensed as a professional geologist (PG-603) for over 20 years. He has 25 years of service with the Wyoming Department of Transportation, where he has enjoyed progressive promotion. For the last 15 years, James has overseen geotechnical aspects of statewide highway projects across Wyoming, including advanced landslide stabilization expertise in mountainous areas prone to landslides. Notable projects include the Moran Jct. to Dubois route 26/287, WYO 70 over Battle Mountain, and Caspter to Muddy Gap – Narrows Slide Repair.

Training
Throughout his career, James has attended numerous training courses provided by the National Highway Institute (NIH), the AASHOT/FHWA Management Conference in 2005, WYDOT Leadership 2007, and Leading at the Speed of Trust by Franklin Covey.
