Zhu Joins DHR International as Associate Partner
CHICAGO, December 15, 2016 — Global executive search firm DHR International is pleased to announce that Rachel Zhu has joined the firm as associate partner, and will be based in the firm’s Shanghai office. Zhu brings over 17 years of search experience in private equity, venture capital, consumer, retail, and industrial to DHR International.
Zhu’s client portfolio includes multinational companies (both Fortune 500 and small and medium-sized companies), private equity and venture capital-backed startups, and privately-owned Chinese companies. Throughout her career, she has advised and helped her clients recruiting for China Country Heads and other C- Level executives across all functional areas, including sales, marketing, finance, strategic planning, human resources, legal, and operations excellence.
Since Zhu’s work with private equity and venture capital clients began in 2004, she has not only helped investors recruit senior investment professionals, but also senior executive leadership and non-executive directors for their portfolio companies.
Zhu began her career in executive search in 1999 with Korn/Ferry International. She was a key member of the firm’s Industrial and Financial Services Practices in Greater China. Zhu later served as Vice President in the Hong Kong office of a UK-headquartered financial services boutique firm, from where she led the firm’s China business. Before joining her most recent employer NGS Global, she was a Principal/China Head of Industrial and Private Equity Practices with a leading European executive search firm.
Earlier in her career, Zhu was a marketing executive with Infineon Technologies AG and ScalaBusiness Solutions N.V.
She earned a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from East China University of Science and Technology. Born and raised in Shanghai, Rachel speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese and English.
