Diversified Search Recruits CEO for The National Center for Civil and Human Rights

PHILADELPHIA, December 14, 2015 — Diversified Search (Diversified), one of the nation’s top ten executive search firms, has announced the recruitment of Derreck Kayongo as Chief Executive Officer for The National Center for Civil and Human Rights, Inc. A well-known human rights activist, Kayongo brings personal and professional experience to The Center, which is dedicated to bridging America’s civil rights history with the worldwide human rights movement. Kayongo, a corporate social entrepreneur, personifies the spirit of “being the change you wish to see.” His own story as a Ugandan refugee fuels his passion for social activism and his more than 15 years of experience in developing national and international programs for human rights embodies The Center’s mission to challenge, inspire and empower people from all walks of life. Kayongo has received several prestigious awards for his work, including CNN’s Top 10 Heroes award, the Maxx Entrepreneurship Award, the Certificate of Congressional Recognition by Congressman John Lewis and accolades from Noble Peace Prize winner Archbishop Desmond Tutu.Kayongo is a graduate of the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.

The National Center for Civil and Human Rights in Downtown Atlanta is an engaging cultural attraction that connects The American Civil Rights Movement to today’s Global Human Rights Movements.
