Wanda Scott (she/her/hers)

Professional Development Consultant

Wanda is a professional development consultant with over 20 years’ experience in the nonprofit sector. She began her fundraising career with United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta where she raised $7 million for the greater Atlanta community. Throughout her career, Wanda has worked for national and regional organizations successfully leading development and advancement teams in nonprofit and university settings. She has committed her skills and experience to organizations that address systems change. She is also a dedicated advocate for nonprofit professionals and supports efforts both locally and nationally to increase diversity, equity, and inclusion in the field.

Wanda currently serves on the board of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Golden Gate chapter and the National Benevolent Association of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). She holds a B.A. in Religious Studies from Cleveland State University and a Master of Theological Studies from Candler School of Theology at Emory University. Wanda has earned both the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®) and the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designations.

Wanda is a native of Cleveland, Ohio and loves all things Frida Kahlo, 80s music, baking, traveling, and hiking. On any given weekend you can find her on a local trail or traversing the forest and coastline of Point Reyes National Seashore; her “happy place.”
