Bob Kobayashi is a Partner in Odgers Berndtson’s New York office and a member of the firm’s Financial Services and Technology Practices. He focuses on global and cross-border clients, particularly multinational U.S., European, and Japanese companies.
Prior to joining Odgers Berndtson, Bob was a Managing Partner and the leader of the Global Financial Services Practice at NGS Global. Earlier in his career he served as the Managing Director at Columbia Consulting Group, working in the financial services and technology sectors, and was a Managing Director at another executive search boutique based in New York, specializing in the financial services sector.
Before launching his executive search career, Bob held a number of senior executive positions at the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi, for whom he managed the Corporate Banking Divisions in Tokyo and Chicago, the Human Resources Department in New York, and the European Credit Division in London.
Bob has a B.A. in Economics from Keio University in Tokyo, and an M.B.A. from New York University’s Stern School of Business.
