Nada Usina is a member of the Board & CEO Advisory Partners and co-leads the Technology Sector for the firm globally, as well as overseeing the Miami office. She is also a member of the Diversity & Inclusion Practice and leads the Digital, Media and Entertainment and Sports Practices. Nada helps companies build excellent leadership teams and Boards, advises clients on leadership topics, succession planning and strategy, and focuses on filling Board, CEO and C-suite positions across companies that are both high growth and undergoing digital transformation or technology enablement. Her clients range from Fortune 500 to top sports teams and leagues, as well as venture capital and private equity-backed companies.
Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Nada was a leader in the digital and mobile industries, having managed multiple profitable business ventures in sports, media and entertainment, many of which leveraged the emergence of new technologies. She served as President of publicly-traded JumpTV, which merged with Neulion to become the world’s leading online video, OTT and IPTV multi-platform provider. Previously, Nada was President of XOS Broadband, which was acquired by JumpTV. Nada has also had responsibility for up to 1500 employees, served as General Manager and President of Nokia Canada, and General Manager, North and South America, for Nokia’s entertainment and media business. She also served as Director of Yahoo!’s entertainment business development and sales programs, where she worked with studios, networks, broadcasters, music labels, game publishers and advertisers. Earlier in her career, as a member of the executive team, Nada led the sports business and marketing team at Broadcast.com, which IPO’d and was acquired by Yahoo! for $5.7B during her tenure. She has also held leadership roles at Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games, the Florida Sports Foundation and Florida State University athletics.
A native of Toronto, Canada, Nada holds a BS in marketing and international business, and an MS from Florida State University. She serves on the boards of FSU College of Business, Seminole Boosters, FSU Varsity Club and CollegeSpring, while also advising startup founders.
