Margaret Plympton


Dr. Margaret (Peggy) Plympton is a Partner in the US Higher Education practice. Before joining Odgers Berndtson, she served as Deputy Chair and Acting Chair of the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH).

Prior to NEH, Peggy was a consultant with the search firm Witt/Kieffer in their higher education/non-profit practice, supporting searches for Deans, Provosts and CFOs.

She previously served as the Vice President for Finance and Administration at Lehigh University and at Bucknell University, and held administrative/finance roles at Yale University, Wellesley College, and Harvard University.

Peggy is a past president of the Eastern Association of College and University Business Officers (EACUBO) and served as a board member of EDUCAUSE, the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO), and other non-profit organizations.

Dr. Plympton holds a B.A. in Latin from Wellesley College, an M.B.A. from Boston University, and an Ed.D. in Higher Education Management from the University of Pennsylvania.
