Linda Madrid is the global leader of the firm’s legal and compliance practice. Leveraging more than 25 years of professional experience as a business lawyer, corporate executive and executive search consultant, Linda brings a proven track record of success and extensive knowledge of leadership to a broad range of clients, including publicly traded Fortune 500 corporations and private entities, including private equity portfolio companies, non-profit organizations, and government agencies in the areas of executive search, organizational design and leadership assessment.

Her portfolio includes searches for CEOs, general counsels, chief compliance and ethics officers, risk executives, corporate secretaries and others. Before joining DHR International, Linda was a senior client partner in Korn Ferry International’s Legal Center of Expertise.

Prior to joining the executive search industry, she served as senior vice president and deputy general counsel with Fannie Mae. She also spent eight years with CarrAmerica Realty Corporation, serving as managing director, general counsel, chief compliance and ethics officer, and corporate secretary.

Before joining CarrAmerica, Linda was with Riggs National Corporation, a bank-holding company, where she served as senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. She began her career as a commercial litigator practicing at several law firms, including Sidley & Austin. Linda has been widely recognized for her leadership in both business and legal communities, including being named as one of the “100 Most Influential Hispanics in Business” by Hispanic magazine. Linda was also honored by the Minority Corporate Counsel Association with its inaugural Trailblazer Award.

She has served on various boards, including the executive committee of the Association of Corporate Counsel. Linda has also been a member of numerous professional associations, including National Association of Corporate Directors, American Society of Corporate Secretaries & Governance Professionals, and the Society of Corporate Compliance & Ethics. Linda received her juris doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center, where she served as editor of the Georgetown Law Journal and her bachelor’s degree in political science, summa cum laude, from Arizona State University.
