Laurence Ashby is a Partner at Wilton & Bain, where he leads the European Private Equity Practice.

With a large focus on delivering full lifecycle support, Laurence provides expertise in everything from deal origination through to exit. His capabilities include commercial due diligence, deal brokerage, pre-deal leadership assessments, post-deal value creation strategies, C-suite leadership changes, M&A targeting, and sell-side advisory for mid-flight exits. Additionally, Laurence offers clients access to an extensive network of Chairs, Non-Executive Directors (NEDs), and Operating Executives, ensuring a holistic approach to leadership and strategic growth.

Prior to joining Wilton & Bain, Laurence spent nearly 20 years in media and advertising. In this he led client engagement across various sectors, developing high-performing teams and driving business success. Following this, he transitioned into technology consulting and global search and advisory, further honing his expertise in leadership and value creation for private equity-backed organisations.
