John Hawkins is Vice Chairman and Director of Odgers Berndtson US. He is a member of the firm’s Life Sciences and Board of Directors practices. Combining 30+ years of experience in board/search consulting, executive management, and investment banking, John brings a unique mix of insights to his work, encompassing CEO succession planning, board assessments, corporate governance, and the recruitment of senior executives, Chairmen, and Directors. Prior to joining Odgers Berndtson, Mr. Hawkins co-founded a private equity firm which acquired Carter-Wallace, Inc. (NYSE: CAR). Upon its $1.1bn acquisition and rebranding, John was appointed a member of MedPointe’s Executive Committee and its EVP-Corporate Development. MedPointe was acquired by Meda AB in 2007. Earlier in his career, at Russell Reynolds Associates, he was Global Sector Head-Health Care and Global Head of the CEO & Board Practice. He was also an Alex. Brown healthcare equity banker.
