James Norton serves as partner in DHR’s Atlanta office.

During his decades of work in the search industry, James has developed a clear understanding of the evolving roles with the financial services sector, as well as the unique differences among them. This experience enables him to provide valuable input at each phase of the search process, beginning with the identification and refinement of a client’s strategic objectives.

James’ career includes positions at some of the world’s largest and most prestigious executive search firms. He previously served as Managing Director of the Americas Financial Services Practice at Korn/Ferry International. Under his leadership, the division grew from $20 million to $70 million in annual revenues. As LAI’s Senior Managing Director/Regional Financial Services Group, James and his team built a practice from $1 million to $33 million over a five-year period. Prior to that, James served as Managing Director of the Americas region for GKR’s Financial Services practice.

Highly regarded by the industry, James was named to BusinessWeek’s list of the 100 most influential executive recruiters in the world.

James studied Industrial Management while a scholar-athlete at Georgia Tech. He is s certified facilitator for the Center for Creative Leadership’s benchmarks program, designed for evaluation of middle to upper-level managers.
