Ian Cameron is the Director of Executive Assessment at BarkerGilmore. With more than three decades of talent assessment and development experience, Ian enhances our clients’ ability to truly understand each candidate’s behavioral and cultural “fit” with their executive team and organization. Ian has led the design, development, and delivery of leadership assessment and development initiatives for mid-size to fortune 500 companies in the financial, telecom, energy, technology, consumer, and manufacturing industries.
Ian’s most recent executive role was that of the CEO of The McQuaig Institute, an international talent assessment business. Since leaving McQuaig he has acted as a trusted advisor to several executive search consultants and Private Equity firms in their assessment of top talent. Ian was the Vice President of Training Implementations at AchieveGlobal Canada, an international training company, and he continues to act as an executive coach for top-performing talent. He was also a top-performing sales manager and sales executive for AchieveGlobal, Xerox, and NCR.
Ian has been a regular speaker at the Human Resources Professional Association and SHRM on the topic of Assessing, Attracting, and Retaining Top Level Talent. He has also presented executive assessment solutions at the Association of Executive Search Consultants annual conference and at the World Executive Search Congress conference.
Ian earned his B.A. in Business Administration from Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada.
