Greg von der Linden is a Principal at Frederickson Partners. As a decorated United States Navy officer and combat veteran and a deeply experienced HR executive, Greg leverages his significant experience as a Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and executive leader in financial services, insurance and technology industries to help match clients with a superior slate of executive candidates for each role.
Greg previously worked as the Executive Vice President (VP) and CHRO for Opus Bank (Nasdaq: PPBI), leading all aspects of HR including HR business partners, talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits, HRIS and compensation. Prior to Opus Bank, Greg’s roles included Executive VP and head of HR for Confie, a national insurance broker in the P&C space with over 4,200 employees in 700 locations in the U.S. and Mexico; VP and head of HR for AudaExplore; and VP and Head of Talent Acquisition for PIMCO, where he personally hired over 30 senior investment professionals per year. Greg started his career with Bank of America, where he held a variety of HR leadership roles supporting capital markets and banking during his 12 years there. Earlier he was a commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy and served in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
Greg holds a B.S. in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is a volunteer career coach for VetCTAP, a program that helps military personnel transition to today’s workplace. During his free time, Greg enjoys spending time with his family, working out, hiking the hills by his home, and building and fixing things.
