Eugene Patrone serves as a Director for DHR International, directly supporting the firm’s vice chairman, Peter Metzger. Prior to joining DHR, Eugene had a distinguished career as a government affairs senior advisor on Capitol Hill.
He supervised legislative staff and provided counsel on policy and crafted major legislative proposals. His legislative background includes work on major domestic and foreign policy initiatives. Following his service on the Hill, Eugene worked at several consulting firms where he represented Fortune 500 companies, foreign governments, non-profits, trade associations and emerging technology companies.
Most recently, he was chief operating officer at a bi-partisan government affairs agency, supporting the chief executive on all internal operations and policies in managing the daily operations, as well as working directly with clients on legislative strategy.
Having made the transition from government sector to private sector, Eugene’s experience provides a unique perspective on the interaction between the two areas. He is keenly aware of the challenges faced by both individuals and organizations looking to find the ideal candidate for a given position.
Earlier in his career, Eugene served as a member of the Bush-Cheney Transition Advisory Committee for the Department of Transportation. Eugene holds a Juris Doctor from Touro Law Center and received his Bachelor’s degree in English from Fordham University.
